  • I love following @thechampagnediet ! She's always got something inspiring/motivating to say. Sometimes when I feel discouraged I watch her stories or scroll through her feed & take comfort in the fact that some things take time & if I'm persistent my dreams will be a reality one day.

    It's been about six months since the last time I got my hair cut & colored. All that dark at the top is how much my hair has grown since then! I'd say probably about 6 inches worth. That's nearly an inch a month! My real goal is to get it all back to my natural color so I can donate it to wigs for kids. Thanks to using Monat exclusively & taking S3 (hair skin & nails supplement ) my hair is growing really fast & it's very healthy. I'd bet by this time next year I'll be able to donate or at the very least really close to being able to. 💕

  • Good days seem to be few & far between for me lately, but today was a good day. I'd like to just sit back, document, & kinda celebrate it a little. 💛 First I'm having a great hair day! I hadn't realized how long it's actually getting again til I took this picture. 💛 Got to the hospital for my MRI early, so I got taken back early, which meant I got done early, always good when that happens. 💛 Had lunch at Taco Bell. I mean honestly that's rarely bad. 💛 Me & Mom got our nails done at Lonnie's & I got the exact color yellow I was thinking of. 💛 Then we drove around Alton a bit with the windows down bc it was just so dang pretty outside. 💛 Almost forgot I got some serious goodies in the mail today. My Scribbles That Matter notebook came in and the Grove Collaborative products I ordered came in! 💛 Plus Monat is having the best sale ever right now & I'm about to get in on that!

    I basically skipped doing two months of planning. [More on that later] but here it is my #beforethepen this week. I wanted to do a little fall without over powering the spread, so I stuck with the theme of soft yellow & light pink. #thehappyplanner #squadgoalshappyplanner

    This weeks #beforethepen I've been really slacking on using my planner lately. Even though this week is basically half over I still wanted to set it up & use it for the weekend. #happyplanner

    It's been an off week for me. All week I just haven't felt right. Like something was off or wrong. I want physically sick so I couldn't & really still can't pinpoint exactly why I felt that way. This isn't the first time I've had an "off week". It happens more often than I'd like to admit. But today I feel better. And I think part of what helped me is just taking a day to relax & have zero commitments. Of course there was a dozen things I could've done yesterday, but honestly those dishes are not going anywhere, that laundry can be folded tomorrow, I'm even fortunate enough to have money to pick up dinner so I don't even have to cook. I'm learning that taking a mental health day where you say ok I'm literally not doing anything today & actually taking a break is way more helpful than procrastinating & avoiding the issues. Saying "I'll get to it later." then not getting to it later makes me feel way worse than just saying I'm not going to do it today. I mean honestly who am I helping by lieing to myself? Now it's a new month. My week of not feeling well is over. I can set new goals & work on them. Breathe in August, breathe out July. And if you're feeling overwhelmed or unwell, take a day off, completely off, or at least try to get some help with what needs to get done. The world won't fall apart if you let yourself relax. You're not that powerful.

    Everyone's gotta start somewhere ☺
